The eu-LISA IT system is going live this September for all operators organizing missions to Europe.
Privately operated aircraft, owned by a private individual or organization, conducting non-commercial flights under NCC/NCO rules are not required to comply with EES and ETIAS requirements, even in the cases with professional paid crew members.
EBACE, like all other major industry events, is the perfect opportunity to inspire idea-sharing and create synchronicities. We at UAS wanted to bring different experts together to share their visions and hopes for the future, to give their companies a platform, and to support their ambitions to bring our industry forward. Therefore, we created The Forward Discussion and invited diverse experts to join us at our booth and discuss some of the most prominent trends in business aviation. Our second panel centered on sustainability and posed the question: How can we create a sustainable future for business aviation?
On the UK’s exit from the European Union on 31 December 2020, the UK CAA took over the responsibility from EASA for administering TCO Authorisations in respect of all commercial services undertaken within UK territory.
The United Kingdom’s departure from the European Union, and withdrawal from the European Air Safety Agency (EASA), have led to a number of changes to the basis through which the UK authorizes the initial safety evaluation procedure of foreign commercial air carriers.
In the dynamic world of business aviation, day-to-day operational challenges mean that focusing on the long term is often put off till another day. Nonetheless, developments in sustainability, new technologies, and regulations are reshaping our industry. At the EBAA Ambassador’s Thought Leadership Session at EBACE, my fellow panelists and I were asked to reflect on the evolutions that will impact business aviation in the years to come and discuss strategies to embrace future changes for the benefit of the whole industry.
The Click2Clear customs entry and departure program for private flights in the Bahamas has been postponed.Click2Clear was due to be implemented for charter aviation on May 30, but Bahamas authorities have announced that they will delay the rollout of the program in order to take care of some technical issues and ensure the online process is as easily understandable as possible.
Our industry thrives on information. Sharing what we know and what we have experienced is the best way to ensure a strong future of business aviation. I was invited by the EBAA to join a panel of industry experts at EBACE to discuss operational challenges over the next 12 months where we covered the main operations and regulatory challenges facing business aviation operators. Regulatory and operational updates, a special focus on post-COVID-19 operations, the EU-LISA system, and operational consequences of the Ukraine crisis were all up for discussion.
Poland has made law an EU Directive on the processing of passenger name records (PNR) that’s applicable to all air operations to and from Poland.Which operations require PNR data to be submitted?Flights that meet all the following criteria are required to comply with the Polish PNR Act, irrespective if the flight is operated as a scheduled or an unscheduled operation:
The U.S. has announced that it will ease restrictions on commercial flights between the U.S. and Cuba.
Under the Trump administration, scheduled and charter flights from the US were restricted to Havana airport (MUHA) only.
Now, scheduled and charter air services between the United States and Cuban airports may resume effective immediately with the U.S. also looking to reinstate certain categories of permitted travel.
The G7 Summit will take place from June 26 to 28 at Schloss Elmau in the Bavarian Alps, Germany.
Heads of State and their delegations will travel to Germany from the seven G7 countries: Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK, and the US.
Due to the sheer volume of elements concerned in G7 operations, operators are advised to start planning their trips as soon as possible to ensure their preferred airport slots, parking, and accommodation options.
The dedicated UAS G7 team of flight dispatchers, Ops experts, and VIP Supervisors on the ground in Munich, both airside and landside, are ready to support and oversee all aspects of planning and execution to ensure our clients’ operations go seamlessly.
Having great industry data and insight available and easily accessible is such amazing support because it inspires market confidence, informs strategy, and—most importantly—creates a supportive community. Asian Sky Media’s latest fleet report for 2021 is a good example of this. It provides a comprehensive and in-depth examination of the Asia Pacific fleet so readers get all of the information to consider. The other extremes are agenda-based headlines and clickbait which misleads and doesn’t give the full picture.
