Singapore entry requirements differ for residents, those with valid entry approval letters, and short-term visitors and depending on what country they are traveling from and their recent travel history. It’s important to note that passengers who have been in any of the listed countries with 14-days before their arrival in Singapore should treat those requirements as applicable to them. Here’s everything you need to know.

Passengers coming from Australia, Brunei, Darussalam, Mainland China, New Zealand, Vietnam, and Taiwan

Singapore citizens and permanent residents, long-term pass holders/ IPA holders with valid entry approvals, and short-term visitors availing of the Air Travel Pass (ATP) will undergo a COVID-19 swab test on arrival and must isolate until they receive the result. They will not be issued a stay home notice (SHN).

Note that as of December 18, passengers with a recent (14-day) travel history to Taiwan will undergo a COVID-19 PCR test on arrival and must register for this prior to landing in Singapore.

Passengers coming from Macao

Singapore citizens and permanent residents and long-term pass holders/ IPA holders with valid entry approvals are allowed entry and must adhere to a 7-day stay home notice period at their own accommodation and undergo a COVID-19 swab test during this time.

Short-term visitors are not allowed entry unless they present a valid approval letter. They must also adhere to a 7-day stay home notice period at their own accommodation and undergo a COVID-19 swab test during this time.

Passengers coming from Fiji, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand

Singapore citizens and permanent residents are allowed entry but must adhere to a 14-day SHN at a dedicated facility and undergo a COVID-19 swab test during this time.

Long-term pass holders/ IPA holders with valid entry approvals are allowed entry but present a negative COVID-19 swab test result taken within 72 hours before their departure to Singapore. They will also undergo a 14-day SHN at a dedicated facility and undergo a COVID-19 swab test during this time.

Short-term visitors will not be allowed to enter unless they present a valid approval letter and a negative COVID-19 swab test result taken within 72 hours before their departure to Singapore and undergo a 14-day SHN at a dedicated facility and a COVID-19 swab test during this time.

Passengers from Hong Kong

From December 13, all passengers with a 14-day travel history to Hong King will undergo a 14-day SHN at a dedicated facility and are required to take a COVID-19 PCR test within 72 hours before departure.

Applying for dedicated SHN facility exemptions:

Travelers from these places can apply for permission to serve their 14-day SHN at their place of residence by fulfilling the following:

  • They haven’t traveled to any other countries outside of the above listed in the 14 consecutive days prior to their departure to Singapore
  • They are at the place of residence alone or only with those who share the same travel history and SHN period
  • There is no one at the place of residence who doesn’t share the same travel history

For all other travelers, the request to opt-out should be made when seeking entry approval into Singapore.

Passengers coming from All other places (including Finland, Japan, Malaysia, and Turkey)

Singapore citizens and permanent residents will be allowed entry but undergo a 14-day SHN at a dedicated facility and undergo a COVID-19 swab test during this time.

Long-term pass holders/ IPA holders with valid entry approvals must present a negative COVID-19 swab test result taken within 72 hours before their departure to Singapore and undergo a 14-day SHN at a dedicated facility and undergo a COVID-19 swab test during this time.
