UAS Urges Operators to Finalize Qatar World Cup Trips

Due to restrictive slots and travel capacity in the run-up to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the dedicated World Cup team at UAS is advising those with plans to attend the World Cup to secure their airport slots and accommodation as soon as possible.

The World Cup gets underway in Doha from November 20 to December 18 with FIFA predicting in the region of 1.2 million football fans traveling to Qatar to attend matches throughout the tournament.

The volume of air traffic is set to put enormous pressure on slot availability at Hamad International Airport (OTHH) and Doha International Airport (OTBD), as well as hotel room availability in Doha and the surrounding areas.

World Cup ticket holders don’t have any time to waste to plan their World Cup experience. There are so many options that include direct operations to Qatar or travel via neighboring Middle Eastern countries such as the UAE,” said UAS Operations Director, James Collas.

“It’s the first time the Middle East plays host to the World Cup and the demand for permits, slots, ground handling, and other related services is massive. UAS has been established in the Middle East since 2000 and has the regional knowledge, experience, and expertise to ensure you have the best chance of obtaining the permissions you need to make your trip possible,” he added.

UAS Operations team in Dubai is poised to customize trip support, air charter, and executive travel solutions to meet the unique schedule and needs of VIP travelers.
