Operators should note that the main airport in the Maldives has recently changed its name.
Malé’s Ibrahim Nasir International Airport is now referred to as Velana International Airport.
The official name change came into effect on January 1 after a government announcement.
The airport’s ICAO code of VRMM and IATA code MLE will remain unchanged.
