The Climbing. Fast. campaign is a timely initiative that deserves our full attention and support. Led by IBAC with the NBAA, EBAA, GAMA, and AOPA, to name just a few, this campaign aims to define the narrative around our community’s role in the world and ensuring our collective voice is heard.
Confronting the CO2 Challenge Head-On
While many people still associate aviation with carbon emissions, they’re less familiar with the ambitious goals and tangible steps we are already taking to address the CO2 challenge head-on. From investing in Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and electrification to advancing air traffic management and supporting carbon offsetting programs, business aviation is fully engaged in the push to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. A monumental goal we have readily accepted. Achieving it will require innovation, collaboration, and supportive regulation. It will also require that aviation is properly understood and supported by policymakers.

That’s why Climbing. Fast. is so important. It highlights how business aviation is not only responding to the climate challenge but also leading through innovation. However, we face real challenges. Outdated perceptions of private aviation as unsustainable persist, and without widespread accurate information, those narratives go unchecked. This is crucial because misconceptions can turn into misguided regulations that hinder innovation and ignore the broader societal benefits business aviation brings.
