- Due to the increased volume of aircraft operating in the Augusta area during the Masters Golf Tournament, the following procedures will be used to minimize air traffic delays and enhance safety
Traffic Management
Traffic management such as reroutes, miles-in-trail, altitude restrictions, ground stops, and ground delay programs may be used during this event. Additional initiatives may be required to/from the following airports:

- Daniel Field Airport (DNL)
- Thomson-McDuffie County Airport (HQU)
Flight Plan Filing
In order to receive advanced navigation (RNAV) procedures/routings, please ensure that the correct PBN capability qualifier, in the ICAO format, is utilized when filing your flight plan. Flight plans without the correct ICAO RNAV designators will be assigned conventional procedures.
- Aircraft parking reservations are required so reserve in advance
- We recommend operators fuel on arrival or the day before departure
- Order outbound catering in advance
- Landing and ramp fees are based on aircraft maximum landing weights
- There is a daily ramp fee charged per aircraft arrival
- Additional support staff, fuel trucks, and equipment will be ready to handle the influx of aircraft
- Runway 8/26 will be closed to support aircraft parking with an auxiliary facility operational to support this area
- Augusta Regional Airport is located approximately 13 miles (20-25 minutes) from Augusta National
