The British Grand Prix 2015 will take place at Silverstone Circuit, Northamptonshire, on Sunday, July 5. The first Grand Prix at Silverstone took place in 1948. The formidable 306.198 km long race consists of 52 laps and is described by Formula 1 drivers as ‘insanely fast’. Here’s some important information for any F1 enthusiasts travelling to the UK for the Grand Prix.
UK Immigration
Non- EU Passengers
A passport and visa are required.
Note:
• Flights between the United Kingdom and the Channel Islands, Republic of Ireland and Isle of Man are treated as domestic flights, therefore are not subject to UK immigration control
• For visitors who are visa exempt up to a maximum stay of six months, the period of stay will be determined by the immigration officer on arrival
Visa exemptions:
• A maximum stay of six months is allowed for several nationalities holding a printed Electronic Visa Waiver (EVW)
• The period of stay will be determined on arrival by an immigration officer
The Electronic Visa Waiver (EVW) issued must:
• Be submitted online via https://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/ at least 48 hours but more than three months prior to travel
• All details on the EVW must match the data on the passport
• The itinerary on the EVW must match the details of the passenger’s journey. The EVW is valid for up to eight hours after the original departure time provided passenger travels on the same route and arrives in the same city mentioned in the EVW
Non-EU Crew
• A passport, visa and crew member ID card are required for operation crew
• Dead-heading crew are subject to passenger restrictions
Note:

A visa is not required for maximum stay of seven days provided an individual is arriving and departing as Operational Crew.
Crew who are a visa required national, arriving as a passenger and departing as operational crew, or arriving as operational crew and departing as a passenger do not require a visa if all of the following applies to them:
• They arrive by air
• They’re able to confirm that they will depart, by air, before 23:59 the next day
• They have the relevant General Declaration/ Movement Order for the flight they are operating
• They hold a passport and airline company ID
EU Passengers
• A passport or country ID is required
• A visa is not required

EU Crew

If you’re travelling from an EU country you can bring an unlimited amount of the majority of goods.

Mitch Launius

Mitch is the CEO of 30 West IP where he is also an instructor providing pilot training on international procedures. With an illustrious career of over 34 years in the cockpit, Mitch has acquired over 13,000 hours of flight time flying worldwide, with over 9,000 hours of this in Challenger and Gulfstream aircraft. He is an experienced safety officer and was also an IS-BAO project manager for a fortune 500 flight department. He has presented on Safety and Operations topics at the NBAA International Operators Conference and the Canadian Business Aviation Association Convention and is currently on the NBAA International Operators Committee and serves as the North Atlantic Regional Lead. Paulo worked with Varig Brazilian Airlines for 23 years, 10 of which were spent as General Medical Manager.
