The Travel Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in fostering and advancing the travel tech operations ecosystem. This entails spearheading the daily operational efficiency of the UAS Executive Travel team, supervising all facets of trip organization and implementation to uphold exceptional service standards ensuring client satisfaction. We are seeking a proactive individual with a robust background in travel operations, adept team leadership capabilities, exceptional communication skills, and a genuine dedication for providing outstanding travel experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Travel Tech Solutions – Drive Operational Excellence

• Spearheading the introduction of new travel technology solutions to boost operational efficiency within UAS Executive Travel.
• Supervising the achievement of outstanding performance, while also monitoring and reporting on KPIs for the UAS Travel Team.

Trip Planning and Coordination:

• Collaborate with Operations and Sales department to understand client’s travel requirements and preferences.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure all aspects of the trip are meticulously planned and executed.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Lead and inspire a team of professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure a cohesive and high-performing operational unit.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.

Emergency Response:

• Develop contingency plans and protocols to effectively manage and resolve any travel disruptions, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances that may arise.

Budget Management:

• Manage travel budgets, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality or client satisfaction.

Quality Assurance:

• Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of service delivery.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of operations and drive performance improvements.

Vendor Management:

• Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain relationships with airlines, hotels, ground transportation providers, and other travel vendors to negotiate favourable rates and ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Continuously evaluate and onboard new suppliers to enhance UAS service offerings and improve cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or an MBA is a plus.
• Must have at least 5-7 years of proven experience in business/corporate travel operations, preferably as a Travel Operations Manager, Supervisor, or Team Leader in a Business/Corporate Travel Agency.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, which enable effective communication and collaboration with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• The ideal candidate should possess experience and proficiency in utilizing travel technology solutions to automate, grow, monitor, and track the performance of the operations team.
• Excellent organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines, and work under pressure.
• Knowledge of international regulations, customs, and procedures related to aviation and travel operations is preferred.
• Proficiency in travel management software such as GDS (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo, etc.), Travel Online Booking Tools, Lodging & Ground transportation suppliers/aggregators and the Microsoft Office Suite.
