BRICS Summit to close Santo Dumont Airport from July 6-7: Rio de Janeiro will host the BRICS Summit on Sunday, July 6 and Monday, July 7. The 17th annual meeting will see leaders from Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, and other member states descend on the city. Santos Dumont Airport (SBRJ), the main airport for domestic flights in Rio, will be closed to all flights during the event.
