Operational limitations, pandemic risk mitigation, and limited parking at Singapore’s airports mean thorough pre-planning will be required on the part of aviation operators ahead of the World Economic Forum’s Special Annual Meeting expected to take place from August 17-20 in Singapore.

Initially planned for May 2021, the event was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Set to be the first global leadership summit to discuss recovery after COVID, it plans to bring international leaders together to focus on creating solutions to the most pressing economic issues of our time.

Although global travel restrictions remain in place for the time being, planning for the Special Annual Meeting is ongoing and the Singaporean government and WEF are confident the event will go ahead.

Normally, the annual WEF meeting is held in Davos, Switzerland, with approximately 3,000 political, business, and civil society leaders in attendance.

It’s expected that this year’s event in Singapore will attract a large number of attendees as it will be the first global event of its kind since the pandemic was declared in 2020.
