Anyone arriving at or transiting through Dubai’s two gateway airports – Dubai International Airport or Al Maktoum International Airport at Dubai World Central – must be aware of the latest flight regulations that came into effect on October 27.
All residents, tourists, and transit passengers must carry a negative COVID19 certificate before arriving at DXB or DWC.
Passengers arriving from a list of 52 countries will undergo a PCR test in Dubai.

Passengers coming from these countries must:
Download the COVID 19 DXB Smart App before departure
Print their negative COVID19 certificate in English or Arabic
Ensure their PCR test was conducted no more than 96 hours before departure (Children under 12 years of age and passengers with moderate to severe disabilities are exempt from this PCR requirement)
Undergo another PCR test at DXB before immigration and self-isolate until they receive their results
Seek GDRFA approval for Dubai-issued residence visas (click here) or ICA eligibility registration for other Emirates issued visas (click here)
Passengers arriving from all other countries must:

Paulo has extensive experience in medical advisory in the aviation industry. As a cardiologist, he provides technical guidance and analysis for MedAire’s MedLink medical advisory service and is MedAire’s liaison with civil aviation regulators and industry associations. Paulo worked with Varig Brazilian Airlines for 23 years, 10 of which were spent as General Medical Manager. A member of the MedAire Medical Advisory Board, Paulo is also President of the Ibero-American Aerospace Medical Association, a member of the International Academy of Aerospace Medicine, a member of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Safety Committee, a Fellow of the Aerospace Medical Association (AsMA), and a Fellow of the Civil Aviation Medical Association.
